    small correction here if I may, its Swain House First School, I went into the Middle School the year after, in September 1973.

    Mr.Ian Robinson was a new member of the First School staff, having joined at the commencement of the Autumn Term, September 1971.

    That was the year that the re-organisation of the Bradford Schools system took place,which marked the end of 39 years of Swain House Infants School, to be replaced by Swain House First School, however Mrs.E.M.Williams, headmistress since 1951,had retired in July and was replaced by Mrs.M.Boddy.

    however, the former teaching methods remained in place.
